Toni Demuro is an Italian illustrator and visual artist, born in Sardinia in 1974. Trained as a painter in Sassari, he turned to illustration and has since drawn for magazines such as Vanity Fair and for children’s book publishers in Italy and France. His images are quiet and poetic: simple shapes, soft colour and a few well-chosen symbols that leave room for the viewer’s own story. He is perhaps best known for his Face/Radio series, portraits in which vintage radios take the place of human heads. With FREEZE, that same gentle, dreamlike calm comes to the puzzle table.
